Not sure if this is what you're after, but there is an existing Hello World activity tutorial, although it's not exactly written for kids, yet.
Also, Mike Fletcher has developed a system for extracting code comments to documentation. See his mailing list post. —Joe 15:15, 13 November 2007 (EST)
