There's a small inconistency in the definition of the grid size.

You write:

"The system functions like a basic floorplan which allows interface elements to tile neatly within its boundaries. The grid consists of a 12x16 array of square tiles."

However, the image shows:

"Screen Grid (16x12 grid cells)"

Traditionally, grid coordinates are shown ( width x height ), so an inconsitent application here may confuse a designer trying to design for the system without reviewing the image for aspect reference.
