Needs update for 8.2.0

Edit the favorites ring (from list)

Justification: Designs/Activity Management

Actions:

  1. Go to the Home level.
  2. Switch to the list view via the button at the right of the toolbar.
  3. Mark one or more activities as favorites by clicking on the outline star icon next to them.
  4. Remove one or more favorites by clicking on the colored star icon next to them.

Verify:

  • That the palette for the newly starred activities now has a "Remove from ring" option.
  • That the palette for the un-starred activities now has an "Add to ring" option.
  • That the newly favorited activities now appear within the ring.
  • That the un-starred activities no longer appear within the ring.

Edit the favorites ring (directly)

Actions:

  1. Right-click an activity in the ring to reveal its palette.
  2. Select the "Remove from ring" option.

Verify:

  • That the chosen activity no longer appear within the ring.
  • The the chosen activity has an "Add to ring" option in the list view

Preserve the ring ordering

Actions:

  1. Note the order of the activities within the ring.
  2. Restart Sugar (with ctrl-alt-erase)

Verify:

  • That the order of the activities remains unchanged.

Filter the activity list

Actions:

  1. Switch to the Home level and select the list view.
  2. Enter a string into the search field within the toolbar.

Verify:

  • That the list of activities is filtered appropriate to the entered string.

Start an activity

Actions:

  1. Switch to the Home level and select the ring view.
  2. Click on an activity to start it.
  3. Wait for the activity to finish launching.

Verify:

  • That, during launch, the activity icon appeared to pulse on a white background.
  • That, once launched, the activity window appeared and functioned normally.
  • That the activity icon appears, in XO colors, within the top edge of the Frame.
