I have purchased a laptop on E-Bay for my grand kids. It was working fine the first day, I let them take it home and the 4 year old did something but it will not boot up completely. It turns on and the music at the beginning plays then the "X" appears and it does not do anything else. So I started playing around and I got it to do a self test but it went through all the different things, sound, color, record etc. and everything said Okay then shut off. I know it must be something simple but do not know what to do. Can you help?

Summary in case anyone else needs it; follow the instructions at 11.3.0 release notes installation on XO-1. It is a subsection of a larger page, and the subsection is called "XO-1". There's several steps that have to be done carefully in sequence. Don't bother with the next section called "Update". Dennis wrote back saying that it worked and the grand kids are happy. --Quozl
