The '''Summer of Content program (SoCon)''' is a way for us to ''turn this belief into action.'' We are focusing on summers in the southern hemisphere as much as in the north; on local creation in developing nations; and on providing an outlet for creators devoting energy to freely licensed content and for organizations that want to support this creation.

Details for Summer of Content 2008 are still forthcoming. We're working on a separate wiki for SoCon applications, which should launch mid-March. In the meantime, if you have proposals for projects, put them at [[Summer of Content 2008 Proposals]], and we'll port them to the new wiki and notify you when the site is up if you give us a way to get in touch with you (wiki user talk pages are great).
