Would it be possible for someone to compile a HOWTO on how to set up a mesh network in other flavours of Linux that is compatible with the OLPC mesh? Perhaps I am wrong, but it seems that the more people are experimenting with this architecture the faster and greater its progress will be. Maybe I have not looked carefully enough, but it seems that the idea of OLPC compatible implementations has not occurred to anyone (except in the case of school servers). |

I, personally, am looking forward to a totally meshed world. This would also give the OLPC a very obvious and laudable advantage over the Classmate. |
