This is a template for making it easy for new users to make a userpage. Here's how to use it.

# Log in and go to your userpage (if your username is YourUserName, the URL will be http://wiki.laptop.org/go/User:YourUserName.)
# Click on the "edit" tab to open up an editable text field so that we can add content to your user page.
# Type the following in your page: <nowiki>"{{subst:Template:Userpage}}"</nowiki> (no quotes) and save it.
# Click the "edit" tab again and substitute your information into your new userpage.
# Congratulations - you're done! Now join a [http://lists.laptop.org mailing list] and introduce yourself with a link to your new userpage.

This is a template for making it easy for new users to make a userpage. Here's how to use it.

  1. Log in and go to your userpage (if your username is YourUserName, the URL will be http://wiki.laptop.org/go/User:YourUserName.)
  2. Click on the "edit" tab to open up an editable text field so that we can add content to your user page.
  3. Type the following in your page: "{{subst:Template:Userpage}}" (no quotes) and save it.
  4. Click the "edit" tab again and substitute your information into your new userpage.
  5. Congratulations - you're done! Now join a mailing list and introduce yourself with a link to your new userpage.
