==About OLPC==
* It's essential that we're all familiar with OLPC's Mission, Vision and Core principle.
* Mission Statement: To create educational opportunities for the world's poorest children by providing each child with a rugged, low-cost, low-power, connected laptop with content and software designed for collaborative, joyful, self-empowered learning. When children have access to this type of tool they get engaged in their own education. They learn, share, create, and collaborate. They become connected to each other, to the world and to a brighter future.
* Core Principles:
# The kids keep the laptops.
# Focus on early-education ages 6-12.
# No one gets left out.
# Connection to the internet.
# Free to grow and adapt.(Free and Open source)
* One Laptop per Child, mission and core principles video, Watch it here. <nowiki>[[http://laptop.org/en/vision/index.shtml</nowiki>

==Using OLPC's Request Tracker(RT)==
* OLPC and [http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Support_Gang Support Gang] use [http://rt.laptop.org Request Tracker] (RT for short) from [http://bestpractical.com/rt/ Best Practical], an open-source ticketing system. All emails to help at laptop dot org create a ticket in the system (as well as emails directed to other queues); each ticket corresponds to an issue at OLPC or an issue that a user wants to communicate. Support-gang members can "take" tickets and thereby send outgoing email correspondence.
* RT Ticketing Flowchart (This is in-progress)
* RT Manual [http://laptop.org/team/index.php/RT]

* Use brackets to link to other wiki pages <nowiki>[[Some Random Page]]</nowiki>
* If you wish to show other text instead of the page name <nowiki>[[Some Random Page|text you want to display]]</nowiki>
* External URLs are linked automatically: <nowiki>http://www.google.com</nowiki>

==Lists==
* Lines beginning with one or more * characters are unnumbered lists
# Use # characters for numbered lists.
## Go deeper with more <nowiki>#'s or *'s</nowiki>

*Use newlines to start a new list
**Example

==Sections==
* Text like ==A Section== is a section heading. They automatically appear in the Contents box.
* Use more <nowiki>=</nowiki> characters for subsections.

==Lousy Memory?==
* If this is too hard to remember, just use the pretty buttons at the top of the editing box.
** One advantage of logging in, instead of editing anonymously, is you get many more pretty buttons
* The "Editing help" link at the bottom of the editing page tells of more options.
