A community effort is underway to figure out an infrastructure for grassroots-run repair centers (because OLPC does not have the time or resources to manage thousands of repair centers on their own, and we're all about local collaboration and empowerment around here). OLPC is working on making spare parts available to volunteer repair centers, XO owners, and the general grassroots community. Note that not all XO parts will be made available for individual purchase. The next step is working with Brightstar on parts pricing. We will try to post updates as they become available.
