If the activity you wish to upgrade was pre-installed in the laptop, then follow this procedure:
- Open a virtual terminal by pressing three keys at one time: Alt, Ctl, neighborhood mesh (3rd key from the left on the top row)
- type: rm -r /usr/share/activities/Some.activity, where you replace 'Some.activity' with the name of the activity you wish to remove. You may need to find the exact name of the activity by first typing: ls /usr/share/activities to list all the activities.
- Go back into Sugar by pressing these three keys at one time: Alt, Ctl, home (5th key from the left on the top row)
- Reboot the laptop or Restart Sugar by pressing these three keys at one time: Alt, Ctl, Erase
If you installed the activity you wish to update then follow these instructions:
- Resume the Journal and find the file download entry
- Click on the download entry
- Click on 'Erase'
- Reboot the laptop or Restart Sugar by pressing these three keys at one time: Alt, Ctl, Erase
Now you can download the new version.
