why bother with system-config-services, when one can simply use chkconfig?

Anyone else having trouble with Gtk*** cannot open display because of an MIT_MAGIC-COOKIE-1 authentication error?

I am unable to launch apps in xfce on the first boot, if I quit and then it restarts all is ok. I suspect that this has to do with the fact that after wifi-radar connects i get dhcppc3 instead of localhost, thus confusing the Xserver as to where the user is located who is launching windows?
