Some of the Repair centers have working keyboards from RMA'd laptops they're using to repair ones with the keys ripped off. Send a message to help at laptop dot org if you want one - not sure how long the supply will last, but hopefully more keyboards will be available soon. Also, stethoscope == AWESOME. : Thanks, my dad currently has the stethoscope, shopping around at Texas A&M for ideas, parts, etc. Seems my picture of a ripped keyboard made Engadget and Gizmodo, so I reapplied for an RMA and this time they offered to replace instead of just refund the price, so I did that. I'm playing with it now and I'll be showing it in a presentation to the Navy's family medicine residency docs in Pensacola in a few weeks.Niels 20:06, 20 May 2008 (EDT) |

:: Glad you got yourself a working keyboard now. I'd love to hear about how your presentation to the Navy docs goes - the folks on the peripherals and health lists probably would as well (and you might enjoy the conversations there - fairly low traffic, though health will likely be most useful to you; peripherals is in the middle of a charging discussion now). btw, for future reference - cultural convention here is to leave replies on the talk page of the person you're replying to, in case they don't have your talk page on their watchlist. ;) Mchua 09:16, 21 May 2008 (EDT) |
