Its lending and technical cooperation programs for economic and social development projects went far beyond the mere financing of economic projects that was customary at the time.

The IADB/BID has lots of resources, articles, studies, etc. in a broad spectrum of subjects, areas and projects that could be worthwhile tapping.

The OLPC & IADB/BID

In November 2006, an agreement was signed between the IADB and the OLPC in order to work on a "partnership aimed at support mainstreaming of new approaches to digital technology in Latin American and Caribbean education".

IX Hemispherical Meeting of the Education Network

Recently it hosted the IX Hemispherical Meeting of the Education Network ONE-To-ONE Computing Models - an inter-ministerial conference on education.
