XO-1.5 Laptop High School Version

Description

Uruguay requested that a version of the XO-1.5 be designed for older children. OLPC worked with them, Walter Bender, Quanta, and Fuse Project to design a laptop version with a larger, more traditional keyboard as well as a different color scheme (dark blue bumpers with blue covers). This model reached production in the summer of 2010.

This laptop appeared with various XO-1.5 motherboards (C3, C5).

This keyboard design became a common ordering option on the next two generations of laptops, XO-1.75 and XO-4 Touch.

Identification

Externally identical to XO-1.5, except for the traditional keyboard. All production XO-1.5 HS laptops were built in the blue color scheme.

Software Support

Software support is identical to other XO-1.5 laptops.
