Overview/Reflection

(on Sunday night:) Okay, I need to finish making my webpage already, so I have a place to put non-OLPC todos as well.

To do

Connections

  • Adam Hyde from FLOSSmanuals - unexpectedly ran into each other in the subway. That was awesome. They have some spectacular translation tools that we should check out... see http://fa.flossmanuals.net/bin/xchange
  • Met the people behind the OLPC In New York pilot project. They are doing amazing things, and could use support and development connections.
  • Got to see fellow support-ganger Chuck face to face for the first time!

Meetings

  • Sunday - Support meetings (missed this, but cleaned up notes later)
  • Tuesday - visited Teaching Matters, Chuck Schwartz
  • Wednesday - visited Adam Hyde
  • Thursday - sleep, maybe?
  • Friday - Test meetings

Projects

Done

Stalled

  • Open registration for Health Jam - Needs location confirmation. Seth?
  • Testing build 697 for Peru - Testing what, and where to put what type of notes? SJ?
  • Document the kiwix - Need guidance. Pascal?

I'm going to try to get to know the NY hacking community somewhat this week, so there'll be a lot of momentum-building before the storm... also, I think my bronchitis may have relapsed, which may... put a dent in things.
