Here's a novel idea - why not explain that the XO is held together with a whole bunch of different screws, none of which are easily identifiable in the field? I'll leave it to those who designed the hardware to explain why they chose to do so, but surely this is the sort of thing that should be properly explained to those who will be making repairs? Mandatory vs optional
The things currently on the list are the "ideal" repair center kit list, but you don't need all of them to operate (for instance, I think it's entirely feasible to be a repair center without an oscilloscope). suggest separating into "nice to have" and "must must must have", or "workedforme" sets rather than mandating that every repair center have these things.. Here's a novel idea - why not explain that the XO is held together with a whole bunch of different screws, none of which are easily identifiable in the field? I'll leave it to those who designed the hardware to explain why they chose to do so, but surely this is the sort of thing that should be properly explained to those who will be making repairs?
