  • This is just a temporary page and will be updated from time to time to document progress of this computerized adaptive math instruction program.

The premise of the BMP is to develop an open source computerized adaptive instruction (CAI) program using Bayesian algorithms to select items from an item bank. This program will be a side project of the authors proposed dissertation which involves further the development of Bayesian inferences in item response theory.

Need: I believe there is a need to have an open source CAI that can be utilized and adapted in the developing countries where education in mathematics and science is often lacking.

The BMP aims to create a completely open sourced algorithm that can be utilized and adapted to a variety of different learning environments and cultures.
