ojala algun dia no muy lejano todos los niños del planeta y principalmente los de mi querido Mexico tengan acceso a una computadora portatil, porque eso si sera una gran palanca para impulsarlos al desarrollo y para que participen activamente en la solucion de los problemas tan variados que nos aquejan en Mexico y en todo el mundo...

No offense, but is it spam?

The brand new page OLPC Mexico just smells fishy... Why?

• the page should be about Mexico, but talks about somebody in Tacna, Peru
• language used is quite poor (both spelling and grammar).
• Picture used:
  • name of the picture: Example.jpg uploaded on 2006-10-27 08:20:56 by User:Ahmad
  • depicts a black person (no offense but the black population of Peru is ~3%) Odd?
  • same picture is used in:

      • IP 195.251.217.134 belongs to the University of Macedonia in Thessaloníki, Greece

      • Ignorant about chinese, I tried Google's translation and it just looks like spam there too!

On the other hand, it could very well be a (totally) clueless good faith edit... after all, it's all-caps and the fact that the IP reported User:201.230.101.182 [ client-201.230.101.182.speedy.net.pe ] is peruvian...

I didn't post it to OLPCWiki:Spam patrol due to the above reasons... and that somebody has effectively posted on this page an (apparently) honest post. Suggestions? --Xavi 02:04, 11 January 2007 (EST)
