In Myanmar (formerly known as Burma), the Myanmar (Burmese) language is written in the Myanmar (Burmese) alphabet. A number of minority languages in Myanmar are also written in this alphabet.
Prahita is working on enabling Myanmar Unicode in OpenSource Software, including libraries and fonts. In May 2006 the project released Myanmar Pango Module 0.6.0, including MasterpieceUniSans.ttf, a Myanmar Unicode OpenType font.
