To use this template, copy-paste the text {{subst:SoCon application}} (including the double-brackets on either side) into a new or existing wiki page. Save the page, and then open it for editing again (this pastes the below template into your page). Fill in the three questions and link to your proposal from the SoCon project proposals page and you're done!

You can revise your application until the application deadline, and we encourage you to talk with the Summer of content mentors and ask them for help refining your proposal. Applications are due at 11:59pm EST (GMT-5) on August 6, 2007, - whatever is linked to on the SoCon project proposals at that time is what the mentors and SoCon staff will read while evaluating your applications. If you have any questions, please ask us!

Project description

This may be as long or as short as you like (~500 words is about average) and contain any information you think is useful. What do you want to do, why do you want to do it, how will you go about doing it, and why are you a good choice for the job? You can supplement your application with external links, but a reader should be able to understand the project you are proposing even if they only read the abstract you've written here.
