The Japanese computer community has good history of providing free/open source software, especially supporting the internationalization of large scale software such as X11, TeX, Unix, Emacs, etc., etc. |

While the idea of "cheap computer" doesn't seem to draw attention from industries and governments, the grass-root communities seems to be eager to get their hands on to OLPC. I hope there is a good way to get them involved. |
