OLPC has many mailing lists for participants, contributors, and general discussion about the project. Sometimes they multiply when one isn't watching. See also blogs for a list of OLPC related blogs and feeds.
Starting a List
If you want to start a new mailing list, first consider ways to get started without one. Then create a page here about the list you want to start, with a brief description and a list of interested initial users. Finally, add a link from this page and leave a note for sj or ivan.
