OLPC India Student Chapter has some tasks open which can be taken up by anybody and most of them do not require any previous skills. These tasks also indicate estimated time (varying from 5 minutes to a few days) in which the task may be completed.
How to work on Tasks
If you are working on some task - Just edit that particular task section and sign it by typing: I am working on this task ~~~~. The ~~~~ is used to put a signature of yours.
If you have completed any task - Edit that task section and sign it by typing: I have completed this task ~~~~. Also, upload the files and give links if the task requires to do so.

Learn eToys
OISC targets eToys as the main platform to develop most of its content. We suggest that you should learn eToys so that you are able to participate in content development projects.
We have made a video tutorial to teach basics of eToys.

How to install eToys on Windows
To learn eToys or develop content on it, you do not need to have OLPC XO. Just install eToys plugin from HERE and then download eToys image in the zip file from HERE.

1. light is made of seven colors
description
: draw a circle .
divide it into seven parts.
ask the kid to fill it with seven basic colors provided in different section.
now spin the wheel. seven colors will appear to merge to produce yellowish white light.
2. Air has weight .
Description:
make a seesaw.
place two deflated ballons on both sides.
ask the kid to click on either of the balloon which gets inflated and hence that portion goes down.
