  For the general public

Activity installation

From the Internet (G1G1 owners, use this)

With the upcoming 8.2.0 release or later pre-release images called joyride:

  1. Run the Sugar Control Panel by hovering over the central XO-man on the Home view screen.
  2. Choose 'Software update'

With older releases (8.1.x, Update.1, or Ship.1):

  1. Go to the neighborhood view to connect to an access point so you have network connectivity.
  2. Follow the directions in Bert's script to download and run a script to get activities.

The above procedures install and/or update a set of activities. You can also install individual activities from Browse by clicking on a link to its .xo bundle.

USB flash drive or SD card

with the Journal You can install an activity from the Journal by dragging the .xo bundle from the USB device. You can also download an Activity pack, put it onto the USB device, then plug the USB device into the XO to install the pack.

Less recommended methods
