I'm looking for pages related to the "Simple WiFi" setup and have been completely unable to find them. I don't want to cause duplicate pages to spring up all over. It seems like this page would be a good place to put a link to related categories (or pages), and/or a list of keywords that could be searched for. Priority of scenarios

from Daf

Our current priority in terms of collaboration is to improve supprt for the school wifi case, as this is the situation most of our existing laptops are deployed in, and it's likely that upcoming deployments will be similar. Our secondary priority is improving support for the simple wifi case, as this is what will tend happen when laptops are taken home from school.

how many laptops mesh supports

from Daf

~15 per mesh network.

Note: This is with telepathy-salut on simple mesh.--morgs 11:30, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

from Pol

We are beyond 15 laptops in the simple mesh scenario. I am consistently testing "simple mesh" with 30 laptops and we are aiming for more than 50. Scaling the "simple mesh" somewhere between 50 - 100 laptops may have significant impact on the (potential need for) other scenarios.

Note: This is with Cerebro, not yet integrated into the collaboration framework.--morgs 11:30, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Wired ethernets in the diagrams

The links in the diagrams which are Wired ethernets should be identified as such.

E.g. between the "WiFi AP" and the "School Server".

Don't we also recommend using several AP's (running on different channels, and all wired together to the same Ethernet with the school server) in schools with more than about 30 kids?

Also, the "School Mesh" example doesn't say why it is troublesome.
