This page provides a listing of routers that have been tested for compatibility with the XO Laptop.

Cisco AIR-BR1310G-A-K9-R 12.3(8)JA Unsecured Only Works but radio must be set to channels 1, 6, or 11. I normally configure this device to automatically choose the least congested frequency, but in my office that ends up being something other than 1, 6 and 11 most of the time. Note also that activity sharing totally fails with this AP - nada, zip.

wireless security setting that works with this router and OLPC is Mac filtering.

NETGEAR WGR614v6 V2.0.14_1.0.14 Yes joyride-2230 / firmware Q2E12 Works alright with WPA encryption.
NETGEAR WGT624v3 ? "Tested"?? B4, joyride 1597, q2d10. The following settings worked (some others did not). On the router: Name: lettersonly, Channel: 11, Mode: g only, Security Options: WEP, Authentication type: Shared key, Encryption Strength: 128bit, Key 1. On the XO: Key Type: Hex, key: <the same as router Key 1>, Authentication Type: Shared Key.

B4 image 703. Hardware Version: V3H1 Firmware Version: V2.0.10_1.0.1NA. WEP worked only in Open System Mode. WPA worked in both TKIP, AES and auto modes.

NETGEAR WPN824v2 V2.0.10_1.2.17 Yes G1G1 Tested WEP 128-bit PSK with 1.2.17 firmware (XO builds 650, 653), WPA2 CCMP PSK with 2.0.10 firmware (on build joyride-1500). Saw occasional failures to connect. When switching from WEP to WPA2, had to wipe out /home/olpc/.sugar/default/nm/networks.cfg, use the Wpa.sh script, and reboot. Working fine now.

TRENDnet TEW432BRP_c1 v2.00.0012 WEP Does not show up in neighborhood until you attempt to connect to another WAP (e.g. at a neighbors house). The Trendnet then immediately shows up, and you can connect to it instead. Is on channel 9, maybe 1,6,11 would work better.
