In A Nutshell
Journalism Jam New York
- Where: Columbia University's Wallach Hall (take the 1 train to 116th Street, then check out this map to get to Wallach: http://www.columbia.edu/about_columbia/map/wallach.html)
- When: September 21-23, 2007
- Goal: Create and collect a suite of tools for building an open-content newspaper that local high school journalists can then use to produce and print a full newspaper issue in less than 24 hours, then capture that process so others can repeat it.
- What's Happening:
Come hear two great speakers as part of the event
12:00 PM Friday Wallach Lounge: Eben Moglen, Columbia Law Professor (never heard of him? check him out on YouTube - he's amazing)
5:00 PM Friday Wallach Lounge: Susan Crawford, ICANN Board member
I want to participate!
We need coders, journalists, and general volunteers throughout the weekend. Shoot us an email at bcb2114@columbia.edu
