In Myanmar (formerly known as Burma), the Myanmar (Burmese) language is written in the Myanmar (Burmese) alphabet. A number of minority languages in Myanmar are also written in this alphabet.

[Prahita] is working on enabling Myanmar Unicode in OpenSource Software, including libraries and fonts. In May 2006 the project released Myanmar Pango Module 0.6.0, including MasterpieceUniSans.ttf, a Myanmar Unicode OpenType font.
