Michael Burns is a Computer Science student at Oregon State University. He is working for the Network Engineering team and is focused on Network Security distributed systems. He runs Mirwin - a professional weblog of his work projects. He is familiar with Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and FreeBSD systems and works with them on a daily basis. For the $100 laptop, Michael is keenly interested in the efficiency of largescale deployment of 802.11s, distributed network services and building service discovery without the presense of a traditional network infrastructure.
