Codes

Using country codes is arbitrary (as are political divisions) and would have no idea how this idea would be implemented for all the countries that speak a specific language, and would be even more complicated in the countries where several languages are spoken natively (ie: Nigeria with more than 500.

There is no intention to extend this idea to any more countries or langauges at all.
It is just a collection of three sandbox pages so as to try to understand, and to learn how to use, the facility provided in the Template:Translations page. The idea is that Sandbox for translations template tests 0 would link to Sandbox for translations template tests 34, Sandbox for translations template tests 351 and Sandbox for translations template tests 44 as if the latter three pages were translations of the Sandbox for translations template tests 0 page. The numbers were used solely so that the names of the pages would not contain the words Spanish, Portuguese or English so that the example use of Template:Translations would not give any wrong impression to people learning how to use the Template:Translations facility that the target pages needed to have the name of a language in the name of the page.
How does one use Template:Translations in the Sandbox for translations template tests 0 page please? The pages were set up in the hope that an example usage of Template:Translations will be added to the Sandbox for translations template tests 0 page.

If needed, I would recommend some language code - ie: ISO 639—although it seems that it's being deprecated—same way the static site Category:PO files are currently translated & tagged in this wiki. --Xavi 01:24, 27 February 2007 (EST)
