Solar Power

  • the laptop does not contain a maximum power point tracking converter,
  • a DC/DC converter to 19V is required,
  • the converter must be chosen according to your system voltage and number of laptops to be connected.

Known Problems

  • in rare circumstances, a laptop may become unresponsive due to electrostatic discharge, and will not turn on or show the boot menu using the f5 key. The laptop may be recovered by a technician removing the battery cable for a minute.

Disassembly

  • at an electrostatic protected workstation, remove 11 screws from the underside (two are under the rear feet), and pry open slowly from the rear edge. Plastic case latches are at a distance of between 15mm and 45mm.
