This page is intended to walk people through creating an XO testbed for hardware/software testing. It is incomplete- please add your notes and ideas. Mchua

Set up

  • Get a power strip and plug all your XOs in.
  • Set up your XOs on a table/counter/shelf. Make sure all the screens are visible, and (if applicable) the keyboards are accessible.
  • Prepare an Activated upgrade USB key(s) for the software (firmware, build, and Activities) you're testing. Systematically reflash every XO and verify the software version.

Tools

In this section should go descriptions of all the testing/logging scripts on the XO.

Test

  • Perform the test as documented.

Report

Follow the instructions on Testing and Friends in Testing for reporting results, logs, and bugs you found.
