Notes on 2012-04-12 version

  • The main change over the 8.2 manual is the default resume behavior with the ability to resume other journal entries and start new.
  • I have no XO friends :-), so I couldn't test or take screenshots of "Join a shared Activity from the Neighborhood View" and "Accept an invitation by clicking the invitation icon on the Frame." I simply linked to the images in the http://laptop.org/8.2.0/manual/

ToDo:

  • I wanted to revise Navigate Buttons to add a crisper callout arrow in SVG, but couldn't find the original image or SVG.

Feel free to edit, e-mail me or library@lists.laptop.org, talk here... -- skierpage 00:41, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

Updating, lift the content from TamTam

I updated this, I hope that's OK (click the History tab to see my changes or revert.)

Help Activity refresh/Chapter/TamTam has a section about starting an activity, seems that text belongs here. -- skierpage 00:08, 8 April 2012 (UTC)

Starting from Home view is more complicated now

Starting from the Home view can be pretty complicated, since it can be in list view or favorites view and favorites view can display as random/a ring/a spiral. (I don't get the spiral on my XO-1... ?). And the hover/right-click menu can have various names of activities from the Journal in it. And if you've typed an activity name you may need to clear it. -- skierpage 00:08, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
