Which style

The OLD or NEW (not necessarily better) layout?

Arguments to keep the OLD style

I like better the old way to link to the items, how do we undo Xavi's latest edit?

Or maybe we should have someone tell us the format that is best for listing videos organized by date of submition?

Is it possible to have somekind of RSS feed to receive updates from this page?

Some videos are linked to from http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Current_events I wonder should all videos be put over to that page or is it fine with a Video_of_the_OLPC page?

OLD is better I think. No need for bold, no need for all the space next to each date, there nearly never is 2 videos on the same date. And people don't want to scroll down so much I think.

And you have taken this one out of the new layout:

French presentation of OLPC computer and TamTam software

Nope, it's under December 19th, 2006... since it didn't have a date, I checked the site and inserted it in the proper place... I have no intention of marginalizing anything there! :) --Xavi 08:09, 24 January 2007 (EST)

Arguments to keep the NEW (not necessarily better) layout

Hi! I have no problem with undoing my changes... I've jotted it down to remind me.
I had thought about doing a table (but it can get messy) so I decided for the glossary-like style which highlighted the date and indented the description (thought it would be clearer).
Anyway, I'll wait a bit for others to express their opinions, and thus have a community decision. If nobody else gives feedback... what do we do?--Xavi 09:35, 22 January 2007 (EST)

Alternative possible layouts

Or maybe the best layout is to do like:

3 Jan. 2007 OLPC Aims for Mass Production in Third Quarter
3 Jan. 2007 One Laptop per Child Sweetens Hardware with 'Sugar' UI
3 Jan. 2007 OLPC Announces First-of-Its Kind User Interface for XO Laptop Computer
2 Jan. 2007 One Laptop Per Child (@23C3)
As I said, tables can get messy... just corrected yours a bit.
I still think that 'glossary-like' entries is a reasonable compromise, although I agree that it adds vertical volume to the list...--Xavi 08:09, 24 January 2007 (EST)

Descriptions needed

Having just watched Jim Gettys's FOSDEM talk, I'd like to know what else to see. What in general avoids overlap, or has something distinctive. There isn't quite enough descriptive information yet to tell. Runtimes and file sizes would also be helpful. MitchellNCharity 14:54, 18 March 2007 (EDT)
