About OLPC The Netherlands

OLPC The Netherlands (OLPC-NL for short) is a grassroots group interested in contributing to the OLPC project. We are just starting up and are looking for more like minded people.

  1. find more people
  2. have a brainstorm session to gather cool ideas for this grassroots group
  3. document what projects we are working / want to work on
  4. start regular meetings, besides Bine & Bastiaan's discussions during carpooling :-)
  5. create a forum or irc channel (als voorbeeld) (just start using olpc-nl on FreeNode)
  6. create a mailing list
  7. request 1 or 2 XO laptops for demonstration and development/test purposes (e.g. for WhatsThatSound)
  8. create a multi user wordpress blog for dutch members

Meetings

We aim to have regular meetings, provided there is enough interest.

Our very first informal gathering will be when: Saturday, December 15th 2007, starting at 2 pm location: 'Canvas op de 7e' (Horeca & Exhibitions), Wibautstraat 150 (oude Volkskrant gebouw), Amsterdam; take the elevator to the 7th floor.
