Hey Ben, are you making this for a class, for research, PP, or just for kicks? Knowing you, the latter would totally not surprise me - idea sounds awesome. Some more random questions: Who's your target user (age? musical experience?), have you checked out TamTam (it has many similarities but a different implementation)?
