Comments on the design

Notes from Skierpage 02:07, 10 September 2008 (UTC) :

Check before assigning

The template has to do some check before assigning nothing to properties, otherwise you get lots of warning triangles and the pop-up error "Empty strings are not accepted." See e.g. Class orchestra activity.

"Done" not a good property name

Instead of Property:Done, reuse Property:Status from Releases.

Date finished ??

What does Property:Date finished mean? Nothing fills it in. Reuse for [{Releases]] ??

Open issues:

  • I'm not sure that most people know how long a task will take before they begin it, so duration should be optional.
  • The sub-task feature is neat, but all tasks should also be categorized in the general "task" category.
