Trying to set up categories of content-work to preserve a balance between them, facilitate easier keeping-track. All projects listed below are active; ideas and half-baked projects should be listed in italics.

Communication

Kathy, I'm pretty sure you've got more projects we should put in this section. Mchua 01:36, 13 July 2007 (EDT) (please delete this note when you put them in!)

Blogging

Any other blog projects we should start? Focus on?

Recording

Nothing here yet, officially. There are other groups doing recording projects and sound/music curation; should we create explicit collaboration projects with them?

Spreading news among OLPC content staff and volunteers

  • Ongoing maintenance of this wiki - unsure if anyone actually owns this, or should. Who are the admins, aside from Xavi and SJ?
  • Xoxo - owned by SJ Klein, other contributors Xavi Alvarez
  • Mailing lists - who are these owned by, and what should we do with them?
  • Content
  • Library
  • others?
  • Subproject: 1ccXoXo whiteboard, a meme Mel is trying to start

Spreading news among OLPC content enthusiasts

  • Press releases - is this a content project, even?
  • Walter's weekly newsletter - probably not a content project, though. Delete from this page if it isn't.
  • Start a newsletter based on wiki events and other short snippets of contribution, possibly grown out of Xoxo with some automated tools Xavi is making and some summaries from blogs, lists, irc logs, whiteboards, and so on. Write a daily version, and then do weekly and monthly summary editions... the idea is still vague in my mind, but I think this would be a new way of spreading news, and worth working with the Knight Foundation] with. Art

Design

I'm not sure what this category means, actually. Any thoughts for what would go here? Mchua 01:36, 13 July 2007 (EDT)

Music

What can we do here? There are other groups doing recording projects and sound/music curation; should we create explicit collaboration projects with them? Merge with "Recording" category above?

Web design

What can we do here? Currently being handled by Community:Art, although it probably should be a spinoff.

Interface design

What can we do here? How does this tie in with Eben's work?

Curriculum

I know there are more things that go here. Lauren, please expand? Mchua 01:36, 13 July 2007 (EDT) (please delete this note when you put stuff in!)
