Hi! Glad you joined the 'debate' on Talk:Main_Page#OLPC's spanish translation—this is just a quick note to let you know that your comments haven't gone unnoticed. I've just finished setting up a page regarding the spanish terms that need to be addressed, or at least discussed. :) --Xavi 17:55, 10 June 2007 (EDT)

Gracias! -- Andrés Djordjalian 18:20, 20 June 2007 (EDT)

Follow up Talk:OLPC Argentina/Plan comunitario/Para que

¡Hola Carla!

¡Saludos! Andrés Djordjalian 17:39, 26 July 2007 (EDT)

Wonderful report. I've added it to Educators. Gracias! MitchellNCharity 23:53, 5 August 2007 (EDT)

how to do wiki images

I notice that 001_Arahuay.JPG has been resized several times. This is not the best way to edit a wiki. It is better to save the image at full size (as it came from the camera, not resized). On the wiki page, you can change the size to anything you like by the way you make the wiki link. Like this:

001 Arahuay.JPG 001 Arahuay.JPG

You can put the image on the right or left. You can add a caption. Having the caption separate makes translation easy and lets people copy the text.

caption goes here

For 002_Arahuay.JPG you have several images put together with captions added. Next time, try it like this:

The image gallery is explained at [1]. See [2] for more details.

Hi, I'm a teacher/programmer (around 5 years' separate experience in each field) based in Guatemala. I would be interested in helping with the deployment in Peru if it happens in the first half of 2008, and if I could get paid a modest stipend for my time. I understand that, if it doesn't come for free, countries would generally far prefer to contract locally rather than pay for "paracaidistas" like myself, so I don't have my hopes set on it; but I think my qualifications are appropriate enough that it would at least be worth exploring the option. So I'm asking you if you have any direct contact within Peru to whom I could send my resume - something more or less equivalent to Ceibal in Uruguay? If you don't want to put up an email on the wiki, you can use the wiki's "mail to" function to send it to me directly. Thanks, Homunq 16:11, 17 December 2007 (EST)

Adding Turkish to Speak

Hi Carla, it is possible to add a new language to Speak by adding it to espeak, the synthesizer that is shipped with the XO. You can read about it here: http://espeak.sourceforge.net/add_language.html I have not done this myself, but I was in contact with some folks doing this for the Mohawk language, so I know it is possible. If you have any success, let me know I would love to hear about it.
