New York

New York, a state of 19 million people, includes one of the largest OLPC user groups, OLPC New York, and has hosted a number of OLPC Jams and events since 2007. See also OLPC United States.

Jams and Events

Story Jam New York and the Grassroots Jam were both held in Manhattan in 2008. A global meetup was initially planned for August in New York, but this was later relocated to Boston.

Trials

The New York City school system is running a trial since early 2008, with roughly 100 laptops. They are considering how to expand that trial.
