Known Problems

Wireless unavailable on first boot

Wireless is not available during and immediately after completing the Ubuntu System Configuration steps. Happens on every laptop once. Workaround is to reboot. Tracked by Ubuntu as #1573474.

Browse activity does not properly resume

Browse activity displays a blank area instead of returning to the saved session state.

Workaround is to use "Start new".

An update from Ubuntu fixes this, please see Updates, below.

The update may apply automatically, which was one reason why it was not noticed before release.

Sugar Journal Star

Journal star does not give immediate feedback.

An update fixes this, please see Updates, below.

External Display

Plugging in an external display to the HDMI or VGA sockets does nothing.

An update fixes this, please see Updates, below.

After release, updates may be available.

On the Ubuntu Unity desktop, select Ubuntu Software, then Updates.

Or, in Terminal, type:

sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade

Some updates may need a reboot to take effect.
