The US Public Broacasting System (PBS) news program NOW recently aired a very interesting [http://www.pbs.org/now/shows/414/index.html program] on the issue of families in western Nepal sending daughters into indentured service and the efforts of the [http://www.nyof.org Nepalese Youth Opportunity Foundation] to end this practice through agricultural aid and education. Hello Bryan, funny to think I could still welcome you to the wiki with this empty talk page :-) Yes, let's find a way to organize volunteering and community building. They're not quite the same, and the general volunteering page should likely cover and link out to more detailed pages on
- contributing material, - contributing time and expertise, - building local community, - giving presentations
and a few others.

Som Paneru was interviewed during the segment.
