:Unfortunately I think it is very unlikely you will get a reply from Bill. If you look at the top of the page it says "We regret most products below will only be available to developing countries initially--except where noted (e.g. Weza's foot-powered Portable Energy Source). " For the time being there is not a mechanism to send these power generation devices to individuals - OLPC's focus is very heavily weighted towards offering these solutions to schools in developing countries.

You should maybe write ask them about stocking/adding to their catalog the Solar (PV) blankets, and any of the other stuff, as OLPC is not a for profit company and are very busy '''designing''' and not SUPPLYING commercially these products :) --[[User:Chief Mike|Chief Mike]] 00:13, 2 February 2008 (EST)

==Page format / navigation==
I would suggest a back-link at the top of the page pointing to [http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Peripherals Peripherials] This would make it easier to navigate to the parent from this child page, to get more info than just 'latest product news', especially if someone gets here from a different direction (i.e. from XO Solar) I am seeing a trend of this lack of navigation aids, organization, etc throughout this wiki (do a What-links-here from the Books page to see a LOT of orphan and duplicate info/comments pages) :[[User:Tinktron|Tinktron]] 02:33, 19 June 2008 (EDT)

I emailed Bill at pvmasters dot com for information about purchasing some of the 5w PV panels (I only want 2...) but I never got a reply. The email didn't bounce, so I assume it was delivered. Any suggestions? email me off list npkeith at gmail dot com

Alternate sources of supply

Since the early/mid 1990's the C.Crane Co. of northern California has been a US distributor of Freeplay® products, Solarcells, and other alternative energy products.

I've been happily using my FreeplayPlus wind-up Shortwave Radio here in the Rural:Philippines that I bought from then back in 1999.
