Hello Julia, |
|||
How is your summer coming? We're all waiting for good Kigali gossip :-) I just ran across this old page: Educational Contacts -- it's a few contacts from 2007, mainly from Rwanda, who I believe had expressed interest in OLPC. I don't know if you are already in touch with any of those groups, and you likely have many more local orgs to deal with now, but thought you might find it interesting. More generally, that seems like a page you might absorb into one of the other learning pages on the wiki. |

Is there any feedback from readers of the column? How is scratch being used at your exhibits of student work this winter? I was asked about it the other day, and pointed my guests to those posts for examples in action. --Sj talk 20:18, 16 December 2009 (UTC) |

Asia workshop
Hi Julia, I added a little extra formating to your AsiaWorkshop. I hope that this is ok. If it isn't the direction you were thinking of let me know and I can revert my edits. Seth 15:28, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
- Seth's improved version is at Asia workshop (I repeated Seth's formatting of the original :-) ). -- Skierpage 03:23, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
Better than Excel
Re: File:OLPC ASIA WORKSHOP PARTICIPANTS.xls
Instead of uploading Excel spreadsheets that don't work in browsers and on XOs, you can upload MS Office docs to http://docs.google.com or http://zoho.com, where you can continue to edit them but also share the as web pages and collaboratively on them with others. -- Skierpage 03:23, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
I changed Image: links to Media: links in your "Learning workshops" page
Image: is for images that are going to be directly visible in the web page (e.g. photographs). Media: provides a direct link to the uploaded file (e.g. a powerpoint presentation).
The change lets people directly see or download the presentations, just by clicking the link.
Thank you for putting all this info up where we can find it!

Ed contacts in Rwanda
Hello Julia,
How is your summer coming? We're all waiting for good Kigali gossip :-) I just ran across this old page: Educational Contacts -- it's a few contacts from 2007, mainly from Rwanda, who I believe had expressed interest in OLPC. I don't know if you are already in touch with any of those groups, and you likely have many more local orgs to deal with now, but thought you might find it interesting. More generally, that seems like a page you might absorb into one of the other learning pages on the wiki.

Typo's/Editing misfits in the Rwanda pdf manual?
