Fully agree with Ben that the health database is more useful than the hardware, and this can fall into basic information for home based care, and into more advanced training/curricula to help with beginning, maintaining or advancing their medical training. |

Many people have been working hard to coordinate everyone who is interested in this project. In the next month, we will create a structure where people can learn about what others have been up to and effectively collaborate with one another. We'll have a conference call soon as well. I think it might be useful for us to start choosing 'chapters' (or topics), so that some of us can write the content for the chapters and others can work on activities to be incorporated into the chapters? Just an idea. [[User:Mika|Mika]] 07:37, 4 April 2008 (EDT) |

I just got an update from Sj about what's going on with health materials and took some casual notes in my user page. Anna B 19:56, 19 December 2007 (EST)
I am critical of the hardware aspect of this project. I think that the hardware we might be able to build is not the hardware that these children need. See this e-mail for my complete argument. Ben 00:36, 15 January 2008 (EST)
- Some of the modern thinking has changed on this. For instance, all children can now benefit from a diagnostic EKG to check for anomalies such as long QT syndrome. Thus, I question the questioning of the validity of the hardware -- but this is the benefit of open discussion, neh? :-) -- ScottSwanson 11:26, 10 February 2008 (EST)
I think some of this needs to be moved to Health_Database DyD 16:11, 20 January 2008 (EST)
Fully agree with Ben that the health database is more useful than the hardware, and this can fall into basic information for home based care, and into more advanced training/curricula to help with beginning, maintaining or advancing their medical training.
Health content xls files
I hear SJ has recently added support in wiki for viewing excel (xls) files created in google spreadsheet to be viewed as simple html tables within wiki. It'd be great if we could copy paste the contents of the various xls files there and use the wiki plugin to easily view them. --Arjs 01:47, 29 January 2008 (EST)
- The spreadsheets were embedded on 11 March 2008. --FGrose 12:04, 4 April 2008 (EDT)
Updates
Lots of updates to the Vision page. --JHehner 00:35, 30 January 2008 (EST)
Arjun and Mika are trying to reach everyone who is interested in this project. Please send us an e-mail if you don't hear from us this week. -- Mika 29 January 2008
Many people have been working hard to coordinate everyone who is interested in this project. In the next month, we will create a structure where people can learn about what others have been up to and effectively collaborate with one another. We'll have a conference call soon as well. Stay tuned! -- Mika 28 January 2008
Animal Health
I've created a new page on Animal health proposing content about domesticated animals, as it relates to human health. This is not strictly for veterinary purposes, please read the page and hopefully the idea willl be clearer, comments and edits would be welcome. Cjl 20:45, 1 March 2008 (EST)

I think it might be useful for us to start choosing 'chapters' (or topics), so that some of us can write the content for the chapters and others can work on activities to be incorporated into the chapters? Just an idea. Mika 07:37, 4 April 2008 (EDT)
