Servers are machines to provide content or other services which XO laptops can't or do not afford to provide.

School servers

School server is the machine controlling class servers in each school, so there will be one school server per school. Like class servers, it also has Moodle on it, but somewhat different from that on class server; it provides adminstrative functions necessary to manage schools.

Among class servers and/or school server, WiMax will be used to link each other.

There are more than 30,000 educational facilities in Korea, and OLPC Korea hope to distribute more than one School server to those facilities.

Business servers

Those servers provide business services the same as current business entities, but via the web, especially via the web of XO laptops. According to the vision of the Korean Government, integrating national-wide information resources in five(10) years, we extended school server architecture to business areas also, based on UNSPSC (United Nations' Service & Product Standard Classification).

XO Korea expects to distribute about 100,000 Business Servers in Korea, each performing a server for providing each business service or manufacturing products.

Government servers

Those servers provide governmental services the same as current governmental services, but via the web, especially the web of XO laptops.

The President and Prime Minister

There are more than 150,000 governmental organizations, divisions, or desks in Korea with about 960,000 governmental employees. XO Korea hope to network all of them using Larger XO and XO Korea/Governmental Server.

Organizational server

As there are various kinds of organizations from kindergartens to graduate schools, from county hall to the presidential office, and from a small office to a large corporation, also various are organizational servers.

The only common thing to all kinds of organizational servers is that, each has private information related to members of the organization, which can't be accessed by unauthorized users.

Regional server

Those are to provide some common content or services to residents in an area. There are 16 regions arbitrary classified by XO Korea
