  • Earlier, Ian Daniher received 2 M and 2 D stock XOs to start educating and recruiting from his local high-school.

Status of XOs

  • In no particular order, the units have been labeled one through ten. Mashed(broken) units comprise 1-5 and DOA(non-functional) units comprise 6-10.
  • Unit one is functional, it had a faded screen which was replaced from stock.
  • Unit two is functional, with discolorations on the keyboard which should not have merited an RMA.
  • Unit three has lost a significant amount of keys and will require a functional keyboard when bulk stock is made available. Otherwise, functional
    • Unit three has been scrapped for its screen. Broken keyboard has been removed.
  • Unit four has lost the "[" key, but is otherwise functional.
    • Unit three has been scrapped for its screen. Broken keyboard has been removed.
  • Unit five has a screen with a black band running from 0-25% and a white band running from 26-50%. It appears to be functional, but requires a screen.
    • Unit five has had its screen removed and its keyboard added to our ready stock of spare parts.
  • Unit six is functional - it suffered from the RTC error but has since been fixed.
    • Unit six has been scrapped for its keyboard.
  • Unit seven is functional - it suffered from the RTC error but has since been fixed.
    • Unit seven has been scrapped for its screen and has had its keyboard added to our stock.
  • Unit eight is functional - it also suffered from the RTC error but has since been fixed.
  • Unit nine lights the power indicator LED, but only outputs "+" over the serial connector.
    • Unit nine has been scrapped for its screen and keyboard.
    • Unit nine's motherboard has been removed from the internal peripherals and case and has been tested to work. Reasons for function/misfunction mismatch unknown.
    • On a second test, unit nine's motherboard appears to be non-functional, suffering from bad NAND. Reasons for function/misfunction mismatch unknown.
  • Unit ten is functional - it also suffered from the RTC error but has since been fixed.
    • Unit ten has been scrapped for its keyboard and screen.
