Check your preferences and be sure you verify your email address and turn on email notification if you'd like it -- you can find out when your talk page, or any page on your watchlist, is modified. You may want to upload a photo or information about yourself to your userpage (examples: 1, 2).
I am up for a quick meetup in Manchester if I get my laptop by then. I have an email from the OLPC people saying that they know about the issues with shipping and I think that mine will be shipped out to my folks on the 21st of Jan, but no actual confirmation of shipping yet. It will still need to be sent across the pond to me in Leeds. I have a coupld of friends in Manchester as well, so I will have a place to crash. Will be able to be more planning once the laptop arrives. Koolkat 06:06, 21 January 2008 (EST)
I have word that my laptop is on its way from the US. just out of curiosity what are you doing in regards to electricity for the laptop. Are you using a converter, or did you just head out and buy a transformer that will work with UK voltages? -- Koolkat 05:35, 4 February 2008 (EST)
WOOHOO I have the laptop in my hands now. Pretty cool, still needing to figure out how to customize it to my liking. What happened with the Manchester meetup? -- Koolkat 09:16, 8 February 2008 (EST)
