Design update
I updated the design after many moons -- now with a smaller software infobox, cleaner first-page and a tad more color. I still don't like the shade of green we use in the headers.... --Sj

Render bug on a Mac
XO image on left pushes the two columns below right. Seen on Mike Sw's laptop. --Sj talk 16:06, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
- I don't know if we're talking about the same thing here, but in my Chrome and Firefox on Ubuntu, the navigation panel on the left hand side is pushed below the main content pane, just leaving empty space to the left of the main content. This is very annoying; unless someone can look into this issue immediately, I would switch to the standard "monobook" theme if I were you. --Maxxflow 20:01, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
Add Projects/Localization link
Please add a Localization item to the Projects category in the sidebar. I'd also suggest reordering those items, in alphabetical order. Clytie 05:18, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

Wiki extension requests
See also the current extensions in use, from the OLPC:Wiki page.
Mark Burnett and others have asked for the liquid threads extension to be turned on. (to see liquid threads in action, check out Wikimedia's Strategy wiki.) Any thoughts or concerns about this? Turning LT on will make it difficult to go back (the threading will be lost, and even the commoent-page assocition would be hard to reconstruct) -- so I wouldn't advise making the switch and then turning back. --Sj talk 20:55, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
- Having taken a looked at your Strategy example, liquid threads looks much more intuitive to use as it automatically indents conversation, providing clear 'reply to' type functionality that makes it easier for non-wiki users to contribute. The more people we can get to contribute their problems and solutions, the better. It also seems to provide a way of watching only the particular conversations you are taking part in rather than at the moment, if you start a conversation on a page you can only watch the whole page - meaning you get emailed every time anyone comments in any conversation. This very soon becomes less useful than just manually going around and checking once you are having conversations on multiple pages. Given a key to success in improving the content here and making it easier for people on deployments to find the answers they need, turning this feature on seems like a natural way of improving collaboration on managing the knowledge and getting the questions answered. As far as the technical challenges, I have not used liquid threads myself but it seems to be standard and in use without issues on other wikis... unless anyone has experience to the contrary. -- Mark.Burnett 21:12, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
