• May 15, 2007: publicly announcing the XO Deployment Plan of OLPC Korea
• May 20, 2007: OPLC project presentations to the public (schools, colleges, central/local governmental authorities, various associations, and NGOs etc.). The progress, results and images will be posted at XO Korea/1st presentation tour/The 1st Presentation Tour of XO Korea. We hope to achieve a few pilot contracts with schools at this tour.

• 7/19: 제주도 교육청이 부처 수준에서 구매를 희망함. 권역 내 전체 초등학생수는 7만 여명. OLPC Korea visited the Office of Education in the Jejudo Metropolitan Area, Korea, and had unofficial presentation. The Office of Education showed strong interest in XO laptop. There are about 70,000 elementary school students in the Jejudo Area.

• 7/25: 교육인적자원부에 프리젠테이션 수행. 실무 담당자 수준에서 구매 의사를 보였으며, 향후 배포될 노트북과 서버의 관리를 담당할 지원 조직에 대해 문의함. OLPC Korea는 그러한 노트북 및 서버 관리를 위한 지원조직 (기업)을 구성하고, 크기가 확대된 청소년용 노트북 프로토타입을 9월 중으로 제공할 의사를 밝힘. OLPC Korea visited the Ministry of Education, Korea, and had unofficial presentation. Participating governmental officers showed strong interest on XO laptops, and they had already had a Digital Textbook project from a year ago. They asked who can distribute and manage XO laptops in Korea if they decide to distribute them, and hoped an additional support team (private) for this purpose. Additional request was a larger type of XO laptops to be distributed to older children; middle, high school and college. I said that OLPC Korea already is preparing that kind of machines; Larger OLPC.

• 7/30: 한글과 컴퓨터 등 일부 기업의 실무 담당자 수준에서 OLPC 프로젝트 지원 기업 컨소시엄에 참여 의사를 밝혔으나, 아직 이들 기업들의 공식적 참여 의사 표명은 아님. 전자신문 등 일부 언론사 방문. 프로젝트 취지를 설명함.
